Travel upgrades

Fisch Boats Guide

Boats do not catch fish, but slow travel can ruin long routes. Buy a boat when it saves more session time than the next rod upgrade would.

Fisch boat and island route planning scene

Fast answer

When should you buy a boat?

Buy travel speed only after your rod can already handle the fish route you are traveling to.

  1. If you are still failing catches, spend on rod stability first.
  2. If travel between islands is wasting session time, buy a practical speed upgrade.
  3. If you play in a group, check seats before picking the fastest solo option.
  4. If a boat is event, mastery, or bundle-gated, treat it as a special unlock, not a normal route requirement.
